Today marks the last day of 2015. With a three day holiday coming up, China's transport network is preparing for a tide of travellers.
Transport hubs around the country are bracing for the increase in travellers.
Beijing Capital International Airport is expecting to see nearly 610,000 trips made over three days.
Jinjiang Airport in Quanzhou, east China's Fujian Province, will be just as crowded. It's estimated passenger trips will increase about 37% from last year.
At Suifenhe Port in the northeast province of Heilongjiang, authorities are expecting more tourists from Russia, as the port is a favoured destination among Russians for affordable holiday shopping. Authorities said more passageways will be set-up in the airport to handle the influx.
Kunming airport in Yunnan province got a head start. Already in the past week, it's welcomed 27 thousand tourists, and has bilingual information desks set up all around.
And in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, security will be around the clock as travellers flood in. They'll be using a mobile platform to help manage the flow.
