Fewer Americans said they would like to lose weight while obesity rate is still increasing, according to the latest Gallup's annual Health and Healthcare poll.
The poll, conducted in November, 2015, discovers about 49 percent of Americans would like to lose weight, down from about 60 percent from 2001 to 2008.
In 25 years, it is the first time that less than half of Americans want to lose weight, according to the poll.
The Gallup poll findings are based on telephone interviews conducted with 1,021 adults, aged 18 and above, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
