A woman travelling with a group from Shanghai was bitten on her nose by a snake after trying to kiss it in a Thailand shop that sells medicine from snake parts.

The news got spread on Sina Weibo then soon reported by many Chinese news outlets.

The woman was a member of the audience watching a snake training show when she was invited to kiss the snake. The snake suddenly bit her nose causing her to immediately bleed. With the help of the trainers, the victim got out of the snake's bite and was sent to a hospital for treatment.

The injuries were not life threatening.

Snake kissing is a popular program for tourists who want to have a unique experience in Thailand as the snake appears fully controlled and without poison.
