The Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday congratulated the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on the convening of its 10th National Congress.
The congress is of great significance and will have far-reaching influence on the country's future development, said the CPC Central Committee in a congratulatory message.
Under the strong leadership of the LPRP, says the message, the Laotian authorities will certainly stick to the development path, adhere to LPRP leadership and the Socialist system and be able to achieve the goals of prosperity, democracy, justice, social harmony and progress.
The CPC attaches great importance to the consolidation of friendly relations with the LPRP, says the message.
It says that the CPC will work with the LPRP to strengthen friendly cooperation in all areas under the guidelines of "long-term stability, good neighborliness, mutual trust, and comprehensive cooperation" so as to promote the long-term, healthy and stable development of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and to make contributions to peace, cooperation, development and prosperity of Asia and the whole world.
