Verified direct economic loss caused by the Tianjin warehouse explosions in August has been assessed at 6.87 billion yuan (about 1.1 billion U.S. dollars), according to a report issued on Friday by a State Council investigation team.
The explosions killed 165 people, with another eight still missing.
