The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has expressed deep concerns and condolences after the earthquake in Kaohsiung.
And according to the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, its secretary general Yang Liuchang has called the Straits Exchange Foundation for the latest information and to express condolences.
Yang said the Chinese mainland will provide timely assistance if the Taiwan side needs any help.
