A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit Taitung County of Taiwan at 9:09 a.m. Beijing Time on Thursday, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, at a depth of 10 kilometers, was located at 23.04 degrees north latitude and 120.88 degrees east longitude, the center said.
