Local procuratorates should have a particular focus on corruption involving funds intended for poverty relief, the head of the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a poverty alleviation conference in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province, Procurator-General Cao Jianming said procuratorates should watch out for any infringement of the rights of small enterprises and entrepreneurs.
Relocation of poor people, compensation for pollution, and subsidized education are other areas of poverty relief prone to corruption, Cao warned.
