Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have been asked to absorb the opinions of President Xi Jinping's reading of an article by Mao Zedong about the workstyle of Party committees.
According to a notice issued by the Organizational Department of the CPC Central Committee, Xi, who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, asked cadres, especially heads of Party committees at all levels, to review the requirements put forward in Mao's article.
"The Work Method of Party Committees," is part of Mao's report on the historic Second Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Central Committee held in March 1949, just before the Party took over state power.
It included instructions by Mao on how to deal with work affairs and how to work with their fellow comrades.
Party committees at all levels should fully understand the essence of Xi's comments, and strive to excel in their workstyle and the art of leadership, as well master the political discipline and rules in Mao's article, the notice said.
The notice asked Party cadres to implement regulations on the work of Party committees, and strengthen ideological and political construction, and the building of integrity and capacity.
