Impression Monet
It will only cost you one yuan to enjoy a multimedia exhibition dedicated to French impressionist master, Claude Monet! In this 90th anniversary of the artist's death, the exhibition is about to embark on a national tour, with Beijing scheduled for May.
Viewers will be offered panoramic views of Monet's paintings, which are arranged in chronological order. And holographic imaging, combined with touch-sensitive technology, will be the keys to unlocking Monet's nuanced methods of capturing changes in light and the passing of seasons.
The first round of the show's national tour will cover Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, running for an estimated nine months in total. Accessibility is a major aim.
"Although it's an exhibition embracing high arts, we designed it with the aim of serving the general public. For the venue, we choose either business complexes in the city center with an exhibiting area of around 2,000 square meters, or cultural landmarks like the China Millennium Monument Art Museum in Beijing,"
"More than 400 Monet masterpieces are displayed with the help of multimedia technology at a very reasonable price. We hope it can bring artistic enjoyment to people's lives," said Pan Zhipeng, Vice President of AC Orange Corporation.
Organizers add that one thousand tickets will be sold at an early-bird price of one yuan - or less than two dimes - starting from 10 a.m. Thursday Beijing time.
The Chengdu leg will kick off on April the 9th. It will be followed by Beijing at the China Millennium Monument Art Museum, starting from May the 1st.
