Transport Minister Yang Chuantang
China is going to promote public transportation as the primary way to ease traffic congestion, which is a universal problem, as it is less polluting, and can transport more people, said Yang. Delegates from some provinces proposed to charge more fees for drivers in certain sections of road in busy traffic hours, as a way to divert traffic. As different areas have different conditions, measures to ease congestion need to vary too. We need to stay positive to find the proper solutions.
