A Communist Party of China (CPC) delegation met with Vanuatu's senior government and political party officials on Saturday, expressing the willingness to deepen bilateral ties.
The delegation, led by Guo Yezhou, vice minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China's Central Committee, met with Vanuatu's Prime Minister Charlot Salwai, Deputy Prime Minister Joe Natuman, National United Party leader Ham Lini and others.
Briefing the Vanuatu side on China's 13th Five-Year Plan, Guo said China attaches importance to the Sino-Vanuatu relations as well as party-to-party exchanges between the two nations.
China is willing to make concerted efforts with Vanuatu to promote and deepen bilateral ties, Guo said.
Vanuatu will keep its adherence to the one-China policy and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China, the Vanuatu officials told Guo.
