In the 2016-2020 period, China will pursue innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, and promote supply-side structural reform.
By doing so, China will realize the "centenary goal" of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020, which is driven by innovation and features medium-high economic growth, coordinated development, better livelihoods for all and ecological improvement.
Regardless of downward pressure and negative effects of the slow recovery of the world economy, China will be able to maintain its momentum of development and overcome difficulties.
As China moves forward, opportunities will emerge for the whole world and a better future be created.
In the coming years, China will step up work on the Belt and Road ,unify development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and advance the Yangtze River economic belt.
As indicated by policies, programs and projects in the new five-year plan, China has the confidence, potential and means to sustain its development, which will instill confidence throughout the world, and bring opportunities for greater international cooperation and mutual benefits.
As opportunities materialize as real jobs and increased income, the benefits will be felt by the people.
The 13th Five-Year Plan has placed emphasis on improving people's lives, with specific targets set for increasing residents' disposable income, creating new jobs in urban areas, and lifting people in rural areas out of poverty, among others.
With their woes addressed, the people will better share the fruits of the country's reform and development and have greater odds of achieving success and realizing their dreams.
