During his state visit to Belgium, Xi and Belgian King Philippe earthed up a magnolia tree at the inauguration of a panda house at the Pairi Daiza zoo, as a move to display friendship between the two sides.
"I hope that through my visit this time China-Belgium relations and China-Europe ties can be further promoted," Xi said.
