World no. 1 Chen Long of China will face home favorite Lee Chong Wei in the men's singles final at the Badminton Malaysia Open after both won their semis on Saturday.

Chen survived a scare to win over young Indonesian Christie Jonatan 8-21, 21-19 and 21-14. After losing the first set, the defending champion made a comeback in the second when trailing behind at 16-19, and took control of the third set.

"Playing so many games makes you hard to be on a good shape in every single match," Chen said. "But I was lucky today."

In the second semifinal, Jan O Jorgensen failed to make much trouble to Lee and lost the match in two sets.

Chen said he expected to be booed by the home fans in the final against Lee. "I will try my best," he said, "The fans may boo me, but at least I can make them think that I am not a bad player."

Both finals of the men's doubles and women's doubles will be an affair between the Chinese and South Korean shuttlers.

Chai Biao/Hong Wei will play Kim Gi Jung/Kim Sa Rang in the men's doubles final after defeating Mads Conrad-Petersen/Mads Pieler Kolding of Denmark 26-24, 21-19.

For women's doubles, Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang will face Jung Kyung Eun/Shin Seung Chan after securing a victory against Japanese Shizuka Matsuo/Mami Naito 21-15, 21-18.

The women's singles final will be between Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei and Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand. China's Wang Yihan lost to Ratchanok 21-11, 21-19.

The mixed doubles top seed Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei was defeated by home pair Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying 24-26, 21-15, 21-13.
