A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolted the sea area off Taitung, Taiwan, at 6:55 p.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 8 km, was monitored at 22.53 degrees north latitude and 121.93 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
