Six people were killed and another injured in car accidents in Wuzhi county in central China's Henan Province early Monday morning, local authorities confirmed.
A motorcycle crashed into a supporting pillar at a dam in Wuzhi at 1:24 a.m. Monday. The driver died on impact, his pillion passenger was injured, as was a bystander.
Shortly after that, another incident occurred with a car running into a crowd of rescuers who were tending to those injured in the motorcycle accident.
Five more people, including a doctor, were killed in the second accident.
