Rain will continue to pound south China over the next few days, while strong wind and temperature drops are expected in the north, the country's meteorological authority said on Thursday.
Rainstorms are forecast for southern regions from Thursday through Tuesday, according to a statement of the National Meteorological Center.
The wind and temperature drops in the north will come as a result of a cold front arriving.
Temperatures will plunge by 10 degrees Celsius in some parts of Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces.
The center warned of flash floods and landslides in the south, and suggested residents in the north wear appropriate clothing as temperatures fluctuate.
