An astronaut looking like Batman is waving to us from the space? It is no longer a fantasy of superhero comic fans since a California-based aerospace manufacturer has asked the creator of Batman costume to design a space suit for a future mission.
SpaceX "reached out to me to ask if I would create a space suit" that looks heroic and stylish, Jose Fernandez, a top-notch Hollywood costume designer behind such kicking-ass attires for Batman and other superheros, said in a recent interview with Bleep magazine.
He worked with SpaceX founder Elon Musk for six months and created a suit that is now in the process of reverse-engineer so as to make it functional for flight, said Fernandez.
If everything goes well, SpaceX will unveil the costume in the next few months, he added.
