U.S. President Barack Obama warned Donald Trump that the campaign for presidency "is not a reality show" in a press conference on Friday, a week after he trashed the New York billionaire at the 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Asked about Trump at a media briefing in the White House, Obama called on the press and public to give due consideration over the statements made by the Republican candidate.
"This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show. This is a contest for the presidency of the United States," the president said.
The current occupant of the Oval Office has made little efforts to hide his disapproval of Trump, who also relishes fighting with Obama as he tries to earn support within the Republicans.
Although Trump already became the GOP's presumptive nominee last week when Ted Cruz and John Kasich quitted the race to the White House, some top Republican leaders are still expressing wariness about Trump.
