China's health authorities on Monday said an investigation confirmed wrongdoing of a military hospital in Beijing in the death of a young cancer patient last month.
The Second Hospital of Armed Police Beijing Corps was found to have published incorrect information, posted misleading advertisements and to have violated regulations on working with the private sector, said a statement from the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC).
Wei Zexi, a 21-year-old college student who died last month of a rare form of cancer, underwent experimental treatment at the hospital.
Before his death, Wei expressed anger at the hospital and China's leading search-engine Baidu in an online post, accusing them of falsely claiming a high success rate for the treatment.
