Storms disrupted air traffic in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen on Friday.
According to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, 122 flights have been canceled since 11 a.m..
Thunderstorms have intensified since this morning in Shenzhen and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, and are forecast to continue till Saturday morning.
Airlines have arranged accommodation and meals for passengers from dozens of flights.
More flights are expected to be canceled on Saturday, the airport said.
