The Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, unveiled the designs of the tickets on Friday.
From 13:00 in Brasilia (16:00 GMT) on Friday, the tickets will begin to be sent from the graphic design company to the buyers, said the Rio 2016 President, Carlos Nuzman, during the ticket unveiling event which was held in the Organizing Committee's headquarters in the center of Rio de Janeiro.
The tickets, in several colors, include pictograms of the Rio 2016 sports and, for the first time in the Games' history, each Olympic and Paralympic discipline will have its own design.
"The tickets are being printed by the same United States specialized graphic design company that made the ones used in London 2012," said Rio 2016 Head of Ticketing, Donovan Ferreti.
According to the organizing committee, out of the total six million tickets available, almost 67 percent have already been sold and another two million are still available and can be bought through the Rio 2016 website or through ticket booths that will be open from June.
