The Communist Party of China (CPC) will provide subsidies to senior and poor members as it prepares for the 95th anniversary of its founding.
The Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee said in a statement on Friday that it has allocated 173 million yuan (26.4 million U.S. dollars) from Party membership dues as subsidies for those who became members before 1949 as well as poor and disabled members.
The department also asked authorities to visit these people at home.
China will celebrate the CPC founding anniversary on July 1.
