China's second-tier soccer club Shanghai Shenxin has appointed Briton Gary White as their new head coach.
"Mr. Gary White has been hired to lead the Shanghai Shenxin in the rest of the Division A season," the Division A club said in a statement on Monday night.
White replaced South Korean Kim Sang-ho, who left the post citing health reasons on Monday.
White, a former player for non-league English side Bognor Regis, once faxed every national association in the world looking for a coaching job.
After spells with the British Virgin Islands and the Bahamas, he arrived at the Pacific honeymoon island of Guam, which has a population of just 170,000.
