A former senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official in central China's Henan Province has been expelled from the Party and dismissed from public office following a corruption investigation.
Chen Xuefeng, a former member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee, was found to have illegally profited from business activities and traded his power for sex and money, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced Thursday.
Chen, also former secretary of the CPC Luoyang City Committee, has been under investigation since January this year for allegedly violating the Party code of conduct.
