Royal Brunei Airlines began operating a weekly direct flight linking Brunei and Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, on Tuesday.
The flight from Brunei International Airport to Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport made Zhengzhou the second Chinese destination the airline flies to, after Shanghai.
The flight, BI602, is operated every Tuesday by an A320 aircraft, with a total flight duration of four and half hours.
Zhang Yongchang, of Royal Brunei's Zhengzhou representative office, said it launched the service because of Henan's large population and tourism market.
Henan is one of China's most populated province, home to more than 100 million people. Its noted tourist sites include the Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes.
