All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) opened a center for overseas journalists on Thursday to enhance its service for news reporting.
The center will organize talks and briefings on current issues of interest to overseas journalists, said Zhu Shouchen, executive secretary of the ACJA, at the launch ceremony.
Officials and experts will be invited to offer authoritative interpretations and dispel doubts.
The center will also organize interviews outside Beijing, handle inquiries and help overseas journalists solve problems in their work and lives, Zhu said.
About 150 people, including representatives of overseas media and diplomats from foreign embassies, were present at the ceremony.
