After missing several chances in the first half, Chinese capital-based football team Beijing Guoan drew with their neighbors Tianjin Teda 0-0 in the 16rd round of Chinese Super League.
There were not too much highlights in the game except the host team got three close-range shots chances in the first half by Chinese international Yu Dabao, but none of them on target. Teda could have taken a lead but Pan Ximing's header was rejected by the crossbar. After a boring 90-minutes, both sides made it into a 0-0 goalless draw.
But the head coaches of the two sides felt different towards the 0-0 result.
"We played a good first half and had several chances but didn't catch them. Our players really want to win, and we are very unset about the result, " said Xie Feng, the acting coach of Beijing Guoan.
However, the head coach of Teda said he was satisfied with the 1 point from the draw.
"We are happy with the result as we all know Beijing is a tough opponent when they play at home. We are lucky that their efforts in the first half were not on target. I am happy with our players' performance today," he told a press conference after the match.
