The UN Peacekeeping on Thursday mourned two Chinese peacekeepers who lost their lives on a mission in South Sudan.
"We join China in mourning the two peacekeepers who were killed in South Sudan last week," said the UN peacekeeping body on its official Twitter account.
The two Chinese peacekeepers were killed and many others injured on the evening of July 10 when they were caught in fighting between government and rebel forces in Juba, capital of South Sudan.
On Tuesday, their remains were flown back home for burial.
