Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent condolences to his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Ashraf Ghani over the deadly terrorist attack that killed at least 80 people and wounded more than 200 others on Saturday in the capital Kabul.
In his message to Ghani on Sunday, Xi extended condolences to the victims who lost their lives in the attack, while expressing deep sympathy with the bereaved families and those wounded in the attack.
China opposes terrorism of all forms and strongly condemns the grave terrorist attack, Xi said.
China firmly backs efforts made by the Afghan government and people to fight terrorism and maintain national security and stability, he said.
At least 80 people were killed and more than 200 others wounded in a terrorist bomb attack targeting a mass protest in the Afghan capital on Saturday, the deadliest attack Kabul has witnessed since 2001.
