A magnitude-5.4 earthquake in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Sunday has displaced over 1,200 people and damaged around 200 houses, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
As of Monday 9:00 a.m., the quake had caused over 24 million yuan (3.61 million U.S. dollars) in direct economic losses for three counties and districts across Guangxi and Guangdong Province.
The earthquake was in Cangwu County, Wuzhou City in south China's Guangxi at 5:18 p.m. Sunday.
The epicenter was monitored at 24.08 degrees north latitude and 111.56 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
