China House will not only serve the Chinese Olympic delegation during the two-week festival of sport, but will also be a culture exchange center for all.
The Olympic Games begin in Rio de Janeiro on Friday and, once again at an Olympics, there's a special facility dedicated to China. Renovated from a restaurant, the 400-square-meter venue features an array of Chinese elements, such as porcelain and a replica gate of the Forbidden City. China House -- as it's called -- will not only serve the Chinese Olympic delegation during the two-week festival of sport, but will also be a culture exchange center for all. Whilst this is the fourth China House since the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
There is also something China is doing for the very first time, and that's sending a policeman. The officer arrived two months ago to prepare for his role, which is mainly focused on cooperating with local police to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in the host city.
