Usain Bolt became the first man in history to win the Olympic men's 100 meters race three times as he cruised to victory on Sunday.
The Jamaican super star, who holds the world record of 9.58 seconds, clocked 9.81 seconds for the gold, adding to the titles he won at Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
America's Justin Gatlin, the gold winner in the 2004 Athens Olympics, won the silver in 9.89 seconds and Andre de Grasse of Canada took bronze in 9.91.
