Death toll from a fire at a rent house in south China on Sunday morning rose to nine, after two people treated at hospital died, local authorities said.
Firefighters received a fire report at 4:51 a.m. in Dalang Township, Dongguan City of Guangdong Province. The local fire control headquarters sent 90 firefighters in 18 fire engines, who saved all 14 residents inside the house before the fire was extinguished by 5:25 a.m..
Two people suffering from serious injuries are being treated, while three others escaped the fire unscathed.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
