"Time Raiders" continued to dominate the Chinese box office, earning 365 million yuan (about 55 million U.S. dollars) in the week ending Aug. 14, China Film News reported.
The adventure-cum-fantasy-cum-action film, directed by Daniel Lee, has rung up 845 million yuan in tickets revenue since its release in China on Aug. 5.
Domestic action comedy "Line Walker" stood in the second place with 240 million yuan in tickets sales during its first week of screenings in Chinese theaters.
"The Secret Life of Pets," the animated comedy of Universal Pictures, was ranked the third, with 131 million yuan in sales last week. It has made 326 million yuan since hitting screens on Aug. 2.
Domestic romance "Love O2O" came in the fourth place, with 122 million yuan in sales on its debut weekend.
Rounding out the top five was domestic action film "Call of Heros," which has grossed 91 million yuan since its release on Aug. 12.
