Domestic action comedy "Line Walker" soared to the top of the Chinese box office, earning 240 million yuan (36 million U.S. dollars) in the week ending Aug. 21, China Film News reported Tuesday.
Domestic romance "Love O2O" stood in second place with 108 million yuan in tickets sales last week in Chinese theaters.
Adventure film "Time Raiders" dropped to third place after two weeks leading the box office. The adventure-cum-fantasy-cum-action film, directed by Daniel Lee, has rung up 945 million yuan in ticket revenue since its release in China on Aug. 5.
Domestic action film "Call of Heros" landed in fourth, grossing 158 million yuan since its release on Aug. 12.
Rounding out the top five was domestic animation "New Happy Dad and Son 2: The Instant Genius," which made 53.8 million yuan in its debut weekend.
