The Hami traditional art crafts work studio held a meeting with the representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Atron Art Group, Tsinghua University and other cultural institutions, in Hami, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on Aug 18.
Chaired by Xiang Zhaolun, deputy-minister of the Ministry of Culture, the meeting gave a summary of the work in the past five months and analyzed the present situation of the traditional Uygur embroidery products' development.
Xiang expected that the studio could go on with the study of the ethnic traditions and intangible cultural heritage. And strengthen the relation with the local enterprises and attract more designers in the broidery products creation. Meanwhile, the studio needs to encourage more local women to get into traditional embroidery and increase their income.
Three designer groups, "MOODBOX", "Mi Shan" and "Guan Mu", introduced their cooperation with the local embroiderers. And they expected to bring out more broidery products in the future.

Wan Jie, chairman of Atron, said the studio will go on to find a better way to balance the protection of the traditional Uygur embroidery's personality and the industrial production.
