Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the Group of 20 (G20) summit in China on Saturday, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said Tuesday. [Special coverage]
The G20 summit will be held in China's eastern coastal city of Hangzhou on Sept. 4-5.
Ushakov said that relations between Moscow and Ankara have been improving rapidly since the two sides began to restore ties last month following Erdogan's apology for the downing of a Russian warplane by Ankara in November 2015.
The Turkish leader visited Russia earlier this month, during which the two sides vowed to stabilize bilateral ties.
