YTL Hotels announced its entry into the Chinese market on Friday, August 26 with a reception in the capital. Media and other guests were invited to attend the event, which is the first of many that will promote the group's hotels, resorts and spa villages.
YTL Hotels belongs to YTL Corporation Berhad, one of the most powerful corporations in Malaysia. YTL Hotels has many prestigious high-end and luxury hotels in many countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, France and Britain. The Pangkor Laut Resort, for example, was recognized as the best resort worldwide in 2003 by luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler. The world-renowned Eastern and Oriental Express, a luxury train that carries passengers between Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, is also owned by the group.
