Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Liu Yunshan called on Party committee central study groups to improve their leadership skills and advance scientific and standard study.
Central study groups, which are made up of leading Party members, are tasked with studying theories related to Marxism, socialism with Chinese characteristics as well as Party rules and guidelines.
Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a symposium on the study system in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, from Saturday to Sunday.
Liu said the first and foremost aim of the study is to incorporate the creative ideas and requirements delivered by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
Liu said the study should be problem-oriented and urged central study groups to incorporate the results into measures that will resolve prominent issues across reform, development and stability.
Party committees were reminded that they lead the learning process and their outcomes have an effect on social and economic development, Liu added.
