A cultural exchange delegation from China's Tibet Autonomous Region Tuesday wrapped up a three-day visit to Estonia which boosted exchanges with the Baltic country.
Jinmeiwangcuo, head of the delegation and the director of news office of the Tibet Autonomous Region government, said that during its stay, the delegation met with parliament members, government officials, experts and scholars of Estonia.
He said that from the delegation, the Estonian representatives learnt about Tibet's development, inheritance and preservation of its ethnic culture, as well as freedom of religion.
The delegation also talked about the reincarnation system of living buddhas, industrial development, income increases of farmers and herdsmen, the protection of the ecological environment and other issues.
Mailis Reps, chairman of the Estonia-China parliamentary group of Estonia's parliament, expressed her keen interest in Tibet's development and her wish to visit Tibet.
Officials of Estonian Ministry of Culture held in-depth discussions with the Chinese delegation about cultural exchanges in the coming five years.
During the visit, the delegation attended a seminar that introduced today's Tibet and showed to the local people the documentary Roof of the World and a video named the Beautiful Tibet, which were warmly welcomed.
The delegation arrived in Estonia on Sunday after visiting the Czech Republic and will visit Latvia.
