Chinese State Councilor Guo Shengkun on Wednesday agreed to enhance law-enforcement cooperation with Vietnam.
Guo, also minister of public security, made the remarks when meeting with a delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in Beijing.
The frequent high-level visits between the two countries and the wide consensus reached have laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in law-enforcement and security, Guo said.
Guo expressed his hope that the two sides' public security ministries would have closer exchanges and strengthen cooperation in such fields as anti-terrorism and drug control.
