Mobike has released V.2 of its rental bicycles, which addresses some common complaints by riders of the popular prototype, according to the Shanghai Observer.
From pictures recently leaked on online social media, the new Mobike Lite is blue instead of the eye-catching orange-silver and replaces the bearing mechanism with a traditional chain in order to reduce its heft.
Another big change is the price, which will cost 50 percent less than the orange model, charging only 0.5 yuan ($0.07) per 30 minutes.
Mobike also updated its customer service, app features and GPS locating function, though no word yet on if they have made adjustable seats and handlebars (a common complaint among tall foreigners).
