Zhang Wenxiong, a member of the standing committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hunan Provincial Committee, is being investigated for "severe disciplinary violations," the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) has said.
Zhang is also head of the provincial publicity department, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the CCDI.
