President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing Friday afternoon after his state visits to Ecuador, Peru and Chile.[Special coverage]
During his time in Peru, Xi attended the 24th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting held in Lima, the capital city.
Xi's entourage, including Peng Liyuan, his wife; Wang Huning, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee; Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; and State Councilor Yang Jiechi, returned to Beijing with the president.
