Riverdance, the national artistic treasure of Ireland, has amazed the audiences in Beijing.

This time, the Riverdance Irish Troupe gave six shows from Jan. 5 to 8 at the Beijing Exhibition Center.

What impressed the audiences most was the group dancing: a dozen performers danced in a line, with the tapping sounds through the whole theater.

Meanwhile, the audiences were immersed by the rhythm and melody, which combined flamenco, jazz, Russian music and a cappella.

Typical elements of Chinese music were put into the performance, making the whole theater can't help singing and applauding.

At last, nearly 30 dancers dug the collective tap dancing, overwhelmingly surprising the audiences.

What should also be paid attentions was the technological gadgets, used for better sound and stage effects.

For example, every performer wore a micro sensor on the head, connected to a computer, so that the light would be cast exactly onto an actor.

Moreover, specially designed micro-phones were put into the dancing shoes and on the floor, to make the dancing more aurally magnificent.

The LED screen displayed the mountainous scenery as well as the villages and residents in Ireland, drawing audience to experience its history in a vivid way.

Riverdance has been performed in over 100 countries for over 20 years, as hundreds of millions of audience watched.

Before the show took place in Beijing, this troupe has made a performance tour in China, visiting fourteen cities with over sixty shows.
