Former Cote d'Ivoire international Cheick Tiote has left Newcastle to China's Beijing Beikong, the capital-based soccer club said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Chinese second-tier team also confirmed four other signings, all of whom are local players.
Tiote joined Newcastle from Dutch Twente in 2010, but had seen his chance slim in the Magpies under Rafael Benitez this season, making just one league appearance and two in the FA Cup.
The 30-year-old, who had 55 caps for Cote d'Ivoire, won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.
