Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has set up an office in Melbourne, Australia, with the aim of meeting increasing demand for products from Australia and New Zealand and building a platform for retailers in these countries to expand globally. According to Reuters, over 1,300 Australian and 400 New Zealand brands have been traded on Alibaba's online shopping platform.
