The Top 100 Business School Research Rankings were recently released by the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), with two Chinese mainland business schools entering the list.
The top three were the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Harvard Business School at the Harvard University and the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at the New York University.
Seven business schools from China, including two from the Chinese mainland and five from Hong Kong, entered the ranking this year.
The School of Management at the Fudan University, with a score of 19.62, ranked No 96 worldwide, No 9 in Asia and No 1 on the Chinese mainland, while the School of Economics and Management at the Tsinghua University, with a score of 18.84, came at No 98 globally this year.
Last year, the School of Management at the Fudan University was the only business school from the Chinese mainland that entered the top 100 list, ranking 99th.
The rankings, annually released by the UTD Naveen Jindal School of Management, mainly look at business schools' research contributions based on publications in 24 leading journals in major business disciplines over the last five-year time period.
This year's standings are based on articles published between 2012 and 2016.
